- The study encompasses an analysis of the scientific information needs and the patterns of information use within the cancer research and control community e.g., how researchers and clinicians acquire technical information, any deficiencies and problems encountered in obtaining such information and specific suggestions which would improve the process. This survey, along with the Directory of Cancer Related Information Resources (NIH/NCI/ICRDB-74/17), is intended to serve as the basis for the design of a system to implement the objective of the ICRDB Program i.e., to promote, facilitate, and increase the transfer and dissemination of cancer research information on a world-wide basis
